Mrs. Dorothy Ruth Easters, 85, of Lampasas died Sunday, Dec. 14 at her residence. Dorothy was born Sept. 30, 1923, in Lampasas, the daughter of David Hoyt Hosea and Mary Eva Pierce Hosea. Dorothy was married to Edward Andrew “Dandy” Easters.
Dorothy graduated from high school in Lampasas and later worked for Town and Country Fashions (a local dress shop), was a clerk at Fort Hood and finally worked at the former Peoples National Bank. She was a member of the Worldwide Church of God.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel, with Lee Burger officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas. Visitation was one hour prior to the service.
Survivors include daughters, Dana Ripley of Leander and Luanne Ellis and husband Dick of Burnet; grandchildren, Shawn Patterson and wife Denise, Carter Patterson and wife Maurine, and Tosha Hall and husband Shane; step-grandchildren, Tammy Ellis, Patricia Ellis and husband Martin Highsmith, Kristi Ellis and husband Jason, and Justin Ellis and wife Bonnie; great-grandchildren, Carly Hall and Luke Patterson; and step-great-grandchildren, Cody O’Patrny, Lilly O’Patrny, Cale O’Patrny, Adam Haver, Ana Leise Ellis, Austin Ellis, and Tristen Ellis.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Dandy Easters; brother, David Pierce Hosea; and grandson, Kirk Ripley.
